Kingston, Jamaica – November 18, 2011:  More than 10,000 persons across the island received free and discounted meals, movie tickets, bus rides and petrol today (November 18) as LIME kicked off its massive 2011 Christmas Campaign.

Representatives from the telecoms company turned up at gas stations, food outlets, movie theatres and transport centres islandwide and gave patrons gift vouchers which entitled them to free or discounted products and services.

LIME Jamaica’s Head of Marketing, Stephen Price said, “To launch our campaign this year we decided to give back in a meaningful way by ensuring that persons across the country enjoyed special moments courtesy of LIME.”

“Our promotion is aiming to change people’s lives by offering them a chance to win a lifetime of the telecoms services that they use for work, play, education and entertainment and we wanted to give them a little taste of what they could win by offering them a free treat,” he added.

At Juici outlets in several parishes, customers received LIME vouchers on arrival throughout the morning.  Similarly, at the Half Way Tree Transport Centre persons were able to get their morning bus rides free, courtesy of the telecoms company. 

LIME also offered discounts on petrol at select Total gas stations throughout the afternoon.  Then to cap off the day, patrons at select Palace Amusement Cinemas got free movie tickets from LIME.

Gail Allen, who dined Juici’s Liguanea said it was the last thing she was expecting when she entered the restaurant this morning.  “It was a nice surprise to come here and find LIME doing something like this.  It’s kinda cool,” she said.

Tricia Bambury, who was another lucky Juici patron, described her LIME “Lifetime Moment” as “wonderful”. “LIME really made my day and I hope this kind of giving continues to throughout the season,” she said. 

LIME’s “Lifetime Moments” marked the launch of “Christmas of a Lifetime”, the company’s 2011 holiday season campaign.  The promotion offers customers the chance to win a lifetime of free service from LIME.  The promotion also features a slate of special offers including great deals on Internet service, the iPhone, BlackBerrys and FLIPtops as well as free talk time on landlines and mobiles, free texting and free mobile data service.
