On the occasion of the presentation of credentials, Ambassador Takase said it was with great honour and privilege that he presented his Letter of Credence to His Excellency The Most Honourable Sir Patrick Allen, ON, GCMG, CD, Governor-General of Jamaica, issued by His Majesty Akihito, the Emperor of Japan, appointing him as Ambassador of Japan to Jamaica and the Letter of Recall of his predecessor.
The Ambassador conveyed greetings from His Majesty, the Emperor of Japan, to the Governor-General and expressed hope that further friendship and goodwill be promoted between both countries throughout the period bestowed upon him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Jamaica.
Ambassador Takase emphasized the need for Jamaica and Japan to continue forging closer ties with the aim of achieving a wider range of goals, through further diversification and deeper understanding. The Ambassador expressed his desire to work closely with the Government and people of Jamaica and looks forward to the Governor-General’s generous support as he embarks on his tour of duty in Jamaica. To this end, the Government and people of Japan expect to develop ongoing collaborations with the Government and people of Jamaica.
