JPS Customers in Mandeville and the surrounding areas who are seeking to reduce their electricity consumption and improve their energy efficiency, are now set to do so, with the recent opening of the eStore Express at the JPS Mandeville Customer Service Office, on Villa Road in Manchester.

The store which is only the 2nd retail outlet, since the energy company’s step into retail marketing earlier this year, boasts a range of energy-savings products, including power efficient gadgets, monitors, timers and sensors.  Customers will also be able to access free and comprehensive advice on how to lower their energy consumption.

Speaking at the official opening, JPS Senior Vice President for Customer Operations and Support Services, Gary Barrow, called on Jamaicans to close the gap between idea generation and implementation.  The opening of the eStore Express he noted, was one way in which the power company is closing the gap between good ideas that benefit customers and those ideas coming to fruition.

Director of Marketing and Sales, Garth Mckenzie also noted that it was critical for customers to avail themselves of all the information that will empower them as users of electricity.
The next eStore will be opened in Montego Bay, before the end of 2013.
