As another fourteen couples prepare to exchange vows in the 2nd annual local mass wedding planned for Valentine’s Day (February 14), title sponsor, LIME, is arranging the best technology to ensure a smooth streaming experience for viewers on the Internet. Organized by MSW Events, LIME will use high-tech Web streaming technology to give thousands of viewers online access to the highly anticipated private event, scheduled to take place at the scenic Hope Gardens.

The live stream will begin at 3:30pm via its Facebook page at www.facebook.com/LIMEJamaica .

“Last year’s live stream was a resounding success and, once again, we will be streaming the event live on Facebook to allow friends, well-wishers and the huge online fan base of the couples to share in the special occasion,” shared Kim Lee, Head of Channel Marketing & Sponsorship at LIME. 

The fourteen couples were profiled and participated in several activities that were covered on the company’s social media pages. LIME also will be offering a special honeymoon package to the highest scoring couple based on a series of challenges that were issued.

“Over the past three weeks, our fans online have gotten to know the couples and shared in their journeys as they prepared for the big event. The live stream will be a culmination of what has been almost a month-long celebration of love,” Lee added.

Hosted by television broadcaster Kerri-Ann ‘Kiki’ Lewis, the broadcast will include the traditional bridal procession, exchange of vows and other special moments that will be shared by all couples.

According to MSW head, Monique Walcott, the involvement of the telecommunications firm has given a significant boost to this year’s staging. “For us, this event is about showing off the best that Jamaica has to offer in first-class event service while also allowing these deserving couples a chance to celebrate their union in a way they may never have imagined. LIME has helped to make this dream a reality once again.”  Walcott highlights.

“Due to space constraints, each couple will be allowed only four guests and so the live stream provided by LIME  allows their extend families and well-wishers as well as the rest of the world to share in what promises, once again, be a divine wedding spectacle,” she added. In 2014, some 3000 persons watched online.

Last December, scores of couples across the island submitted entries in which they shared the reasons they were deserving of a dream wedding. Thirteen of the lucky couples were picked by an assembled selection panel while the 14th couple was selected by fans on LIME’s Facebook page. Two of the lucky couples will be renewing their vows.

MSW Events will be responsible for providing the planning and coordination and of the event which also has some of Jamaica’s leading event and wedding service providers on board as sponsors.
