Minister of National Security, Hon. Robert Montague will host a town hall meeting at the Sean Lavery Faith Hall, Lewis Street, Savanna-la-mar, Westmoreland on Monday March 21, starting at 5:30pm.

Minister of State in the Ministry, Senator the Hon. Pearnel Charles Jnr, Permanent Secretary Major General Stewart Saunders, and Commissioner of Police, Dr. Carl Williams will also participate. 

Minister Montague believes partnerships with community stakeholders are critical in the fight against crime.

He says this will be the first of several town hall meetings islandwide which will give citizens the opportunity to ask questions, air their concerns, and make suggestions on how they believe the government can deal with the crime situation.

The meeting also gives the Ministry of National Security and by extension the security forces, the opportunity to share with residents, the programmes and strategies being implemented in the fight against crime and violence.
