Over 10,000 streetlights repaired since start of 2018 Target surpassed as Company Continues Repairs

Jamaica Public Service Company Limited | 2018-12-17 11:21:00

JPS has exceeded its streetlight repair target for the final quarter of 2018, with almost a month to spare.  The 2,000 streetlights per month target was surpassed in November, with 3,691 repairs, while October repairs stand at 2,544, bringing lights repaired for the two months to 6,235, surpassing the target of 6,000 lights for the quarter.

The number of streetlights fixed since the beginning of 2018 is over 10,000 in addition to the over 5,000 that have been converted to LED Smart streetlights.

While the vast majority of streetlights across the island are in working order, JPS understands that customers are eager to have the non-functioning streetlights in their communities fixed.  The Company is therefore assuring customers that it is continuing its escalated repair drive, to ensure that as many customers as possible enjoy a bright Christmas. JPS has also been publishing a fortnightly repair schedule on its social media platforms as well as its website, as a guide for customers.  The next schedule will be posted on Friday December 14 on myjpsco.com and @myjpsonline.

JPS remains committed to continuous improvement in operational efficiency and customer service, and thanks its customers for their understanding and support.
