CORE FUNCTION:

Reporting to the Deputy Managing Director, Engineering & Technical Services, the incumbent will be responsible to perform duties to include but not limited to ensuring that the Depot meets its daily run-out requirements for

vehicles that are clean and in good operating conditions, directing the implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for the Depot’s vehicles, equipment and facilities and analyzing cost and repair histories in order to identify repeat problems and institute appropriate

corrective measures to address root causes.

• Excellent knowledge of maintenance management to include bus automotive technology and tyre and body repair techniques.

• Excellent report writing skills.

• Sound knowledge of safety regulations and procedures

for bus mechanical/electrical operations.

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

• Excellent supervisory skills.

• Good time management skills.

• Proficiency in the useof Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in

writing.

• The ability to lead and motivate staff.
