Courts Jamaica will be mobilizing its islandwide network on Labour Day, Monday May 25 with three projects in three parishes. The retail furniture and appliance giant will have over three hundred and fifty staff members lending support to those in need and the environment.

This year, the company will return to Fern Gully and also join with Food For The Poor in the construction of two homes.

As an important part of its mandate to support nation building, the company has a keen interest in the environment and community development.

The partnership with Food For The Poor will see a total of twenty-four (24) homes being constructed by March 2016 for families that are currently living in undesirable conditions. The homes will also be furnished with beds and a combination chest of drawers and dresser.

On Labour Day, two homes will be built and furnished for families in Trelawny and Clarendon.

“Courts has been a part of the lives of Jamaicans since 1959 and we recognize and value the contribution each person has made to our success. We want to continue to support the people and the communities we serve”, said Dennis Harris, Managing Director of Courts Jamaica.

COURTS staff members will be back in Fern Gully to complete a two-year project aimed at restoring the trees and ferns and removing debris and sticks in the landmark valley.
