Courts Jamaica continued its thrust of sports development in Jamaica with an injection of over $600,000 in furniture and electronics to the refurbishing of the Students Lounge at the GC Foster College of Physical Education and Sport.
The presentation to GC Foster was made at the onset of the inaugural staging of the Americas Federation of Netball Associations (AFNA) 2018 Champions of Champions High Schools Netball Tournament hosted by the school in July.
“We didn’t hesitate to lend our support to the refurbishing exercise at GC Foster because we love encouraging our sportspersons who are true ambassadors in every sense of the word. Through our long-standing association with our National Netball, Football and Cricket teams, we have been able to maintain a positive and lasting impact on the livelihood of our student athletes and this contribution serves in continuation of this mandate,” explained Senior Brand Manager, Katasha Thompson.
Courts continues to focus on sports development by building relationships with key stakeholders as part of its drive to provide our nation’s youth with equal opportunity to excel on the world stage.
Chairman of the GC Foster College of Physical Education and Sport, David Mais expressed his sincere gratitude for the donation by stating, “I am proud of the improvements we have made in enhancing the facilities at GC Foster to make it a more comfortable and functional space for all students and faculty. Courts’ generosity allowed us to successfully host our regional athletes and I look forward to more growth in this partnership.”
