Persons wishing to support the Sagicor Sigma Corporate Run fundraising efforts are now able to donate via the popular e-commerce platform Gustazos. Gustazos (Jamaica) launched the donation drive on Tuesday February 5, giving persons the option to donate to the cause starting at a minimum of JA $250; there is also the option for persons to donate in $500 and $1000 denominations. There is no limit to how much and the number of times persons can donate.
The Gustazos platform is another fundraising avenue being used by the Sagicor Foundation to engage persons to give back to the beneficiaries of the 2019 Sigma Run: The Lupus Foundation of Jamaica; the Diabetes Association of Jamaica; and the May Pen Hospital Neonatal Unit.
The charity event, now in its 21st staging, is aiming to raise $52 million for the three beneficiaries.
Sigma Team Lead and Assistant Vice President, Sagicor Jamaica Group Marketing, Alysia White, is encouraging the public to donate using the platform, which offers simple steps to donate on a smartphone, tablet or desktop computer.
“We recognize that there are many persons locally and overseas who want to support the cause but want an accessible and easy way to do so. We are so grateful to Gustazos for coming on board, so everyone has an opportunity to contribute to a great cause,” she said.
The donation option is available at www.gustazos.com until Saturday, February 9; the donation option will open again on Friday, February 15 and close on race day, Sunday, February 17.
The public can also contribute to the 2019 beneficiaries using direct deposit, cash drop off and wire transfer at any Sagicor Bank branch.
