SNEAK PEEK - Creating borderless space![]() A
Marjorie Seeberan, feels close to nature and the subtleties of the urban spaces, which reflects in her office space. "I love the little touches that are reflective of my personality," says the general manager, Corporate Banking Division, National Commercial Bank (NCB), Jamaica.
Seeberan's office has warmth of nature, the green that are reproduced from the paintings on the wall and plant that compliments the symmetry of the room. Behind her desk is a painting of the Aqueduct at the University of the West Indies, where she worked prior to joining the NCB. "This painting is a touch of whimsy," Seebaran says, "it brings back memories of UWI and the time I spent there." She has been instrumental in creating a meeting room on her floor, which has been carved out of an office, this triangular space at the NCB Atrium in New Kingston has a panoramic view, the sea and the mountains as one pans across. "When I look out I see the mountains and the clouds sitting on it reminds me of the jobs that need to be done," she says. "I have also put plants, to pull the external environment in the office, it creates a borderless space that gels with the nature outside."
